We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

1.)  Position: Business Development Executive (Emerging Markets)

Job Description

  • Develop strategies and implement same to deepen product penetration and increase product market share in the retail space in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • Find and assess business opportunities in assigned channels and market
  • Screens potential business deals by analysing market needs, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments
  • Protect Interswitch's value by keeping information confidential
  • Analyse and guide sales network on quality leads to generated per product across applicable market sectors
  • Establish and maintain excellent working and process operations with matrix teams seamlessly
  • Work with the assigned Product/Marketing Team to deliver quality sales kits for the Sales Team
  • Develop a rapport with strategic/key clients, set targets for Sales Network and provide support that will continually improve the business relationship
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Provide Training plans and content for assigned products to be delivered to both inhouse and external clients
  • Identify networking opportunities, target market events and sales events that would provide positive impact to the sales bottom line
  • Perform market research and analysis to monitor local environment for the emergence of new market segments and new merchant pool
  • Provide feedback from merchants and market feedback to meet market demands and generate product development ideas
  • Keep abreast of trends and developments in digital financial services markets, products features, best practices and operational excellence
  • Learning what the competition is doing in terms of customer pricing, experience in the local market, their alliances, credibility etc
  • Research possible new sales opportunities within the existing portfolio of key merchants and identify new potential opportunities
  • Monitor feedback from customers to measure their satisfaction with company products
  • Attend exhibitions to generate sales leads/opportunities that can be converted to sales post-event
  • Communicating merchant/market requirements to colleagues internally and work with them to ensure that products are delivered per customer/market requirements and in line with agreed terms
  • Provide customers and potential customers with useful information regarding the assigned products and services
  • Maintain an awareness of sales and other developments amongst competitors and pass off any relevant information to the Sales Network and others as the case may require
  • Maintain access to sales tool (CRM) to keep track of leads generated and other relevant information to enable performance to be measured and monitored proactively
  • Manage contract content and customer business requirements and solution expectations
  • Understand all cost associated with the business and ensure all assigned portfolios remains profitable and growth is visible year on year.

Requirements

  • Good First Degree (preferably in a Business discipline)
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in digital financial industry
  • Business development & management

2.)  Business Development Executive (PTSP)

Job Description

  • To develop and implement growth opportunities of Interswitch payment solutions and services within and outside its country of coverage.

Responsibilities

  • To drive product feature enhancements and service platform optimization that creates unique long-term value for its value chain (customers/shareholders/markets)
  • Grow existing market share, develop, and penetrate new market/ segments through value offerings to key high value and high-volume merchant acquiring
  • Growth transaction volume across POS, WEB, QR and USSD channels through channel features and capacity building by working with product, project, developers, and other existing internal resources
  • To transform the Interswitch payment offerings across POS, WEB, QR and USSD into a robust digital financial distribution Ecosystem
  • To co-ordinate, manage and support the sales & account management structure with Sales Network (that is technical support, advisory services and lead conversion strategies that increases Interswitch’s revenue)
  • Ensure service excellence to all acquired merchants and partners by engaging with the service and operations management teams on behave of the customers
  • Develop intelligent, relevant and world class business documentations for market and merchant engagements as required by all relevant internal stockholders
  • Acquire strategic partnerships that enables access to market and merchant clusters relevant to the business objectives and would contribute to business value both short term and long term
  • Identify, research, development, implement, deploy, and manage new business initiatives across all market types to optimize channel usage and business value by owning merchants in these markets and its sub segments
  • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders in the payment ecosystem where required to understand the payment landscape needs and business risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related discipline
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in digital financial industry
  • In depth understanding of an acquiring business
  • Experience in portfolio management and payment solutions
  • Good understanding of business development & management.

3.) Instore Merchant Onboarding and Support

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The Instore Merchant Onboarding and Support officer will be responsible for onboarding and supervision of the Business Support Partners.
  • The ideal candidate will also maintain and nurture relationships with new and existing Merchants/Partners/Banks.

Responsibilities
Field Operations

  • Responsible for field support activities on POS terminals managed by Interswitch (primarily, as Acquired, Co-acquired and PTSP and secondly, for all of Interswitch POS Business)
  • Responsible for growing the number of merchants in the assigned region and with the assigned Banks
  • Ensures that the agreed SLAs/OLAs with Banks and third –party Vendors (where applicable) are adhered to
  • In charge of giving feedback on process improvement initiatives to the product, operations, business, engineering, and service management teams
  • Responsible for the overall management of field operations in a particular cluster or region as assigned
  • Responsible for Interfacing with Banks Support teams and external client Support issues relating to POS devices
  • Responsible for Monitoring all POS terminals assigned to Interswitch as PTSP to ensure the uptime of the terminals 24/7
  • Responsible for logging all customers service calls received via phone calls and emails on CRM
  • Carries out 1st level Support: Remote Support, Call Support and 2nd Level Support
  • Responsible for any or all or the strategic pillars of quality assurance, terminal deployments, repairs and stop gap management, merchant categorisation and merchant visitation list
  • Conducts quarterly technical sessions for key merchants, PTSP and banks (when necessary)
  • Co-manages the administration and training of BSP (Business Support Partners)
  • Provides Advisory services to Banks and merchants during daily support activities
  • Conducts training of bank staff and merchants on use of POS applications and support
  • Reviews effective utilization of product manuals & training manuals
  • Prepare weekly activity reports for all managed POS devices to Banks and Team Lead
  • Prepare an issue report for critical issues encountered in performing daily activities to the Team Lead.

Onboarding:

  • Responsible for Parameter Management (Parameter Generation, Nibss & Kimono Registration, Parameter update/change)
  • Merchant profiling on extraswitch, aribiter and related platforms
  • Manages the process of terminal provisioning (configuration and certification)
  • Provision of merchant onboarding support and ensuring high conversion rate for generated leads
  • Terminal consumables and inventory management.

Service Operations:

  • Responsible for administration and management of TMS systems (PAX Store)
  • Database management and reporting
  • Merchant training and service review
  • Revenue assurance.
  • Bridging the link between the technical team (engineering and products) and the support team
  • Provision of post-onboarding support
  • Partner relationship management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a reputable tertiary institution
  • Project Management desirable but not compulsory
  • Minimum professional experience of 2 years in POS support within payments or financial services industry.

4.) Product Manager

Job Description

  • To operate as the product expert combining market analysis, end-user feedback, and technology knowledge to establish a distinctive product vision, roadmap, and an effective engineering partnership to deliver world-class products at premium pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and approaches to define a compelling and feasible product vision for our platform strategy execution
  • Translate platform vision into a product roadmap that balances customer needs with internal resources
  • Maintain and prioritize product backlog and track feature releases
  • Communicate progress against roadmap and product performance across the cross-functional teams as well as throughout the organization
  • Partner with Engineering and Business Development teams to build and launch world-class products
  • Refine product vision based on feedback from end users, support teams, and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct market research to determine market size, penetration, and opportunities
  • Conceptualize, prioritize, and write succinct product requirements (typically as user stories and epics) to cross-functional working team
  • Be a resident domain expert of product capabilities and functions / features
  • Evangelize and train sales, marketing, support, operations and services delivery teams on the product capabilities
  • Track product effectiveness and continually work towards a tangible and sustained value proposition
  • Ensure market messaging is consistent with product functionality and highlights distinctive value proposition(s)
  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project
  • Translate business strategy into product strategy and execute product strategy
  • Provide insight to stakeholders on product and the market
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews and retrospectives
  • Assist the development team in digital payments development according to end-user needs
  • Conduct research on product enhancements and new product offerings
  • Manage feature iteration throughout the product lifecycle
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Recommend changes to existing products based on customer feedback or industry trends
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with members of other departments to generate new product ideas
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Carry out competitor and market analysis
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trend.

Requirements

  • A good Degree in any Computer Science or any other relevant or related field of study from an accredited University
  • 8 years minimum experience in product management or related industry.
  • Relevant industry certification(s)
