1.) Electrical Technician

About the Job
- The job objective of the Electrical Technician is to ensure that maintenance and repairs activities are carried out on kiln Complex (MMD/Quarry, Raw Material Processing, VRM, Kiln, Grinding and Packing plants) and their associated auxiliaries according to detailed instructions.
What you'll be doing
- Carry out routine inspection on the Kiln Complex, and their auxiliaries, organise for correction of observed defects (Dangling cables, sensors and instruments, damaged lighting fixtures, damaged panel door locks, broken emergency switches, broken cooling fans, record action taken in a daily shift report and inform his line manager
- Organise, direct and control maintenance and repairs activities on plants and their auxiliaries utilising the human and material resources available to him.
- Carry out periodic calibration/validation/verification as per schedule or as required to enhance equipment performance and document results
- Ensure application of work instructions by his subordinates and give feedback to his superior, suggesting improvements as may be necessary.
- Ensure proper and effective handover of outstanding jobs/information on any plant to the night Shift Electrical Instrumentation Supervisor or Shift Coordinator.
- Attend to Radio calls to solve Electrical instrument related problems on-running maintenance issues or production process & related issues
- Monitor spare usage and advice his superior of spares requirement and ensure economic use of spares with a view to contributing to low maintenance cost.
- Facilitate communications and relationships by: Attending departmental meetings regularly, Conveying department decisions to the subordinates and communicating results/feedback to the Electrical Instrumentation Engineer.
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time
- Ensures that maintenance works are carried out satisfactorily and within the set timeframe.
- Guarantees the safety of the equipment and of the people working for him.
- Promotes the quality of the work and motivates his personnel.
- Ensure coordination and cooperation between his and other departments.
- The work environment of the job is the Kiln Complex plant, Quarry, Grinding and Packing plants.
Safety:
- Ensure safe practices and safety of equipment and personnel within and around his work area by strict compliance to LOTOTO. Ensure Proper Housekeeping in the MCCs (ER158, 348, 438, AF, dual firing, Transformer Pens, Cable cellars and Electrical Instrumentation Supervisor’s office and workshop) All Electrical Panels cablings, lighting board, domestic and industrial sockets, Junction boxes to be arranged properly and doors are locked all the time.
- Inspect, organise, record and correct any defect on electrical hand tools equipment, lighting fittings, dangling cable, damaged lighting fixtures, damaged panel door lock, broken emergency switches, broken cooling fans and cable joint.
IMS:
- Comply with EMS Electrical Instrumentation job functions at Kiln 2
- Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the plant.
Who you'll be working with:
Internal:
- The Production Supervisors: To receive equipment and give clearance after the job is completed.
- The Maintenance execution (Mechanical and Automation): To coordinate the common jobs and during isolation
- The Stores Department: receiving and placing order for spare parts, issuance of replacement parts and consumables items of any
- The Methods Department: To receive the Work Order to be done and send the WO completed.
- The Safety Coordinator: To inform about any safety disrespect (accident, risk point, e.t.c).
External:
- NGC.
What we are looking for
- OND or FTC in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Good hands-on experience
- Predictive and preventive maintenance
- In-depth knowledge of practical electrical operations and applications.
- Good knowledge of safety rules applied to maintenance.

2.) Field Sales Manager, A&C

- Role holder is responsible for building loyalty among various customer segments, providing technical product solutions and enhancing Lafarge brand presence in the manufacturing sector.
- Responsibilities include identifying prospects among large and medium companies, masons, developers, and home builders.
- The role also involves tracking construction activity and collaborating with colleagues to maximize commercial opportunities for Lafarge Africa Plc's concrete operations.
What you'll be doing
Safety:
- Apply and manage the safety policy, drive policy standards and adversaries already put in place for role holder, colleagues, subcontractors and all others who are in the site or plant.
- Report all incidents/VPC/BOG and near misses
- Ensure access to jobsites is in line with safety standard for pumps, electrical lines and space
Sales Functions:
- Implement the area commercial strategy, and sales action plans to achieve sales target and profit margin
- Organize and control commercial operations for respective region/Area to achieve given sales target and profit margins.
- Evaluate the quality of Lafarge's relationship with customers, assess their evolving needs and proactively manage and handle complaints and feedbacks
- Work closely with Marketing, Quality Control, Production and Legal departments when necessary to improve and promote quality and service.
- Work with the Marketing Department to develop & implement communication materials and messages to customers
- Develop action plan to drive the sales of value added products(VAPs) and new products launch in the territory.
- Organise and coordinate the Area sales activities to ensure all customers are satisfied and ultimately meet target
- Negotiate prices, volume with customers and other extras services and take proactive decision in critical situation (prices delay and claims).
- Represents Lafarge Africa Plc at meetings including trade exhibitions, building expo and trade fair to promote Lafarge products especially (value added products - VAPs)
- Keep to the sales policies and procedures put in place for him and ensure on time delivery of products (concrete) to the customers.
- Ensure all backlogs/pending orders are cleared and necessary documents are met.
Placing & Finishing Service:
- Ability to propose placing & finish service policy when it is relevant
- Write and give placing & finishing service prices for swift closing of jobsite
- Follow jobsite, applications, deliveries, invoicing, and funds collection to a completion.
Advisory Functions:
- Understand standard concrete and range of VAP (specifications applications) and make adequate recommendations in termof (production, transport, pouring).
- Advanced understanding of applications and building system. (individual hosing, commercial & institutional, industrial and civil works roads/utilities)
- Suggest adapted products, services, solutions with proper consideration of technical abilities and financial situations of each customer.
Reports:
- Key sales indicators and reports main action to Line Manager for close out.
- Monthly Customer relationship Management in terms of issues, new lead/closed out sales.
- Regularly scheduled reports from sales database monthly and report to Area Manager
- Report all market intelligent activities on a weekly basis, with clear understanding of trade activities.
Competition law:
- Adequate knowledge of competition law and apply it when needed.
Production, Transportation/Plant Daily Support:
- Monitor monthly purchase and sales are in line with pumping and delivery unit scheduling and business target.
Environment:
- Ability to respect and enforce procedures in place to indicate a non-compliance of environmental incident and report to line Manager for daily decisions and cascade such information to plant Operator/Batcher.
Credit, Administrative, Invoicing functions:
- Identifies creditworthy customers, following the in house process, negotiates payment terms and the implementation in collaboration with credit department for debt recovery and billing.
- Establish new customers are smoothly registered on the database.
- Ensure all pre-invoicing to avoid claims and manages the cash (price and payment terms) with the credit department
- Ensure all procedure are in place for cancellation of orders and deliveries
- Participate in credit meetings for adequate resolution
Requirements
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Building Technology, Architecture, Marketing, Humanities and Social Science with Master’s degree as added advantage.
- At least 3-4 years of working experience and above in sales
- Good knowledge of construction materials In the industry
- Good Presentation, communication and networking skills
- Vision, business sense, basic financial knowledge and negotiation skills
- Strong customer focus

3.) Security Operative (SO)

About the Job
- The Security Operative (SO) is responsible for keeping Lafarge Africa and suppliers’ staff, visitors, and similar safe & secure.
- Based on shift work rotation the SO will be in the plant between eight and twelve hours, also on weekends, and supervise all security related activities while in parallel supervise and support all company transport activities.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for the protection of the company’s PEARL (People, Environment, Assets, Reputation & Legal Exposure) in the South-East Region under the direction of the Security Manager South-East.
- Support the supervision of the Private Security Provider, ensuring they fulfil their contractual obligations. Conduct supervisory checks on the 3rd party security provider and the services provided such as random checks at guard locations in Mfamosing Plant (MFA) and Calabar, joining vehicular patrols and ensuring all standards agreed are being fulfilled. To be conducted utilising various online tools that are available.
- Ensure Lafarge Health & Safety standards are adhered to.
- Supervise and direct the armed security incident response force.
- Supervise and direct security assets during crises periods and/or in case of direct assaults on company staff and/or assets.
- Provide reliable and concise incident data and write accurate reports via the various company online tools.
- Work in shifts ensuring there is a 24/7 security supervision function on duty.
- Support with investigations and detailed report writing. Validate reporting independent of the Private Security Provider’s report.
- Conduct independent assessments and identify gaps in baseline physical security and notify/ advise both the Security Manager and Senior Security Operative.
- Interact with the local PSF (Public Security Forces) in cases of (armed) attacks, intrusions, trespassing, fraud and theft.
- Safeguard that all Security & Resilience Policies of the company are adhered to.
- Act as a communicator between the Plant Management and Security Department when the Senior Security Operatives is not present.
- Gather local intelligence on all aspects and issues to support and protect the business.
- Create and maintain intelligence networks.
- Reporting of incidents on the Group Security SINT platform.
- Monitoring and supervision of CCTV operators, video evidence assessment and ongoing projects.

- OND minimum requirement
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a security supervisory position
- Security incident supervisory experience (incl. following up on complex incidents such as shootings, armed attacks, theft, and similar)
- Experience of supervising teams and resources
- Capability to drive Lafarge security standards in all business activities.
- Be Microsoft Office proficient
- Ability to produce different kind of vetted and accurate incident reports.
