We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Power Plant Intern
Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The Power Plant Intern will assist to operate and maintain equipment used to generate electrical power.
• Assist the plant operators in operating power plant equipment and machinery to produce enough electrical power to meet demand; regulates flow of power between generating stations and substations.
• Assist in monitoring plants, meter and gauges and control board to verify operational parameters and electricity flow to meet standard protocols.
• Assist in maintaining draft document relating to equipment, data, and general operating instructions and schedules.
• Monitors machinery indicators to identify any existing malfunctions and initiate repair procedure when necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocol and policy to ensure proper use of equipment.
• Clean, lubricates, maintain parts and equipment to prevent failure and degradation.
• Maintain, supervise and regulate transmission load, frequencies and line voltages.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 0 - 1 years f working as a Plant Operator Intern.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to maintain logs and reports
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
