Job Position: Logistic Officer
Job Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Purpose of Job
- Implement and support logistics strategies and activities to achieve efficient and cost-effective handling and dispatch of finished goods to distributors and other locations within the country in order to achieve customer order fulfilment and service delivery in allignment with company policies and statutory regulations.
Principal Accountabilities
- Support implementation of the logistics strategies for ease of operations in alignment with GOL business objectives.
- Support the logistics process for the transportation of inbound and outbound goods and services to customers and company warehouses through communication with all stakeholders for efficient and timely delivery of goods.
- Implement pre-dispatch inspection for efficient, safe loading and delivery of goods
- Support evaluation supplier proposals and contracts to ensure compliance with company standards to mitigate supply risks.
- Screen and review driver documents to avoid litigation or avoidable human and material losses
- Ensure proper filling of all logistics documents to avoid loss of data and breach of statutory regulations.
Challenges:
- Truck accidents leading to down time and loss of goods
- Bad road infrastructure
- Unruly behaviour of drivers
- Poor truck management by drivers and third-party logistic companies

- Micro: Daily planning
Context of Job
Framework & Boundaries:
- This role is administrative in nature and provides support to the Logistics and Warehouse Manager.
- The Logistic Officer has autonomy to confirm logistic documents, perform truck inspection, liaise with truck drivers and third-party logistic companies for compliance with statutory regulations and enforce adherence to company policies under the supervision of the Logistics & Warehouse Manager to optimize logistics processes while ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk management.

- Order accuracy
- Daily order fulfilment
- Achieve timely delivery of finished good across the country within S.L.A stipulated time frame
- Finished goods rejection rate targets
- Finished goods stock variance
- Pre-dispatch vehicle inspection targets.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Minimum requirement: First Degree / HND certificate from a recognized higher institution with a grade not less than a Second Class lower or a Lower Credit.
- Added advantage: A master’s degree or an MBA in a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of cognate experience.
Salary
N150,000 monthly.
