We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Mechanichal Engineer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities
Design and Planning:

• Develop mechanical systems for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services.
• Collaborate with architects and civil engineers to integrate mechanical systems into building designs.
• Analyze project specifications and prepare detailed mechanical drawings and plans.

Installation and Supervision:

• Oversee the installation of mechanical equipment and systems on construction sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes during installation.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to maintain project timelines.

Testing and Maintenance:

• Conduct performance tests on mechanical systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Develop maintenance schedules for mechanical systems post-construction.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during and after project completion.

Project Management:

• Estimate costs for mechanical systems and prepare budgets.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
• Monitor project progress and report updates to stakeholders.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure adherence to local and international codes and standards for mechanical systems.
• Implement energy-efficient and sustainable solutions in mechanical designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master degree holder is an advantage.
• Experience in construction or building services engineering (3–5 years typically required).
• Professional Engineerlicense is an added advantage.

Skills:
Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with building codes and standards.

Project Management:

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Problem-Solving:

• Analytical mindset to troubleshoot and optimize mechanical systems.
• Innovative approach to implementing energy-efficient solutions.
