We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Panel Beater
Job Location: Sangotedo, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities


  • Carrying out inspections on bodywork and frames of vehicles to assess extent of damage
  • Disassembling and stripping damaged vehicle parts
  • Preparing vehicles for repair work, including priming
  • Repairing vehicles to the highest standard
  • Preparing vehicles for painting
  • Repairing scratches, dents and other damage to bodywork and replacing any parts that cannot be repaired
  • Straightening and aligning car frames and unibodies
  • Reassembling vehicle body parts and accessories
  • Replacing or repairing windows, car interiors and exterior trim
  • Filling and sanding bodywork
  • Performing final finishing and polishing 
  • Making assessments of damaged vehicles, deciding how best to repair it and estimating the time and cost for the repair.
  • Mending rusted parts of a vehicle’s bodywork.
  • Removing any dents in panels and making replacement panels.
  • Finishing the repair in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork or preparing the surface for a paint sprayer.
  • Keeping records of all work carried out.
  • Deliver the highest possible levels of body repair and restoration to all BOS customers.

Requirements

  • SSCE / OND in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 - 5 years experience.
  • Demonstrates considerable skill and recognition as a vehicle body repair technician.
  • Experience in Panel Beating
  • Understands the needs of both customers and the company, and demonstrates this in their work.
  • Takes ownership in all aspects of their role, working without close supervision and demonstrating effective self-management
  • Demonstrates resilience, self-motivation
  • Knowledge of car mechanics
  • Bodywork and frame repair skills
  • Physical fitness and stamina
  • Ability to work as part of a team
