Job Description


  • We are seeking a highly organized, dedicated, and professional Personal Assistant to support the Bishop in his duties within the Anglican Church.
  • This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for someone with exceptional administrative skills and a passion for supporting spiritual leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Bishop, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Manage and maintain the Bishop’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, events, and appointments.
  • Liaise with clergy, church staff, and external stakeholders on behalf of the Bishop.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics as required.
  • Handle correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and letters, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
  • Assist with preparation and organization of church services, meetings, and special events.
  • Maintain confidential records and documents related to the Bishop’s role.
  • Support the Bishop with any personal and pastoral matters as needed.

Qualifications

  • HND qualification
  • 3 - 5 years of experience as a personal assistant or in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the Anglican faith and an understanding of the Church’s structure and functions is preferred.
  • Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email management.
  • A calm, professional demeanor and the ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment.
  • He/She must be an Anglican

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in a church or faith-based organization.
  • Knowledge of Anglican liturgical practices and terminology.
  • A caring and compassionate approach to pastoral responsibilities.
