Rotation and Precision Machines Limited specializes in the supply of power transmission products, bearings, conveyor spares, industrial hoses, tools, maintenance (predictive and preventive), lubrication, seals, pumps, valves, gaskets, electric motors, gears drives, standard sand, sealing adhesives, fasteners, vulcanizing components, welding solutions, automation parts, etc. The company’s services also include technical support, installations, servicing, procurement services, and consultancy.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Procurement Operations Analyst

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

The Role

• The candidate will treat all RFQ’s requests, source for suppliers, prepare costing analysis and quotes the client.
• You will be liaising with internal departments and suppliers, analyzing and comparing product samples, and negotiating procurement contracts.

Job Description

• Negotiating with Suppliers (local & International, direct and indirect purchases) in order to obtain the best value for money and attract cost savings.
• Strategic Sourcing and Management of new and existing vendors to achieve maximum savings.
• Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
• Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
• Agreeing and maintaining SLAs with the sales team for turn-around time for responding to requests.
• Making recommendations with respect to alternate procurement and ensuring Accuracy of needs, amounts, and right cost centers.
• Ensuring that all requests are attended to within 48 hours.
• Ensure to track all requests via a CRM system to ensure that no request gets forgotten.
• Constantly tracking and ranking all suppliers on pricing, quality, and speed of response to help guide supplier choice.
• Ensuring that the company's supplier database is kept secure at all times.
• Stay informed on the latest industry techniques and methods.
• Develop customer satisfaction goals and coordinate with the team to meet daily goals.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or any related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in engineering procurement.
• Understand the business of procurement.
• Must be data driven.
• Good understanding of margins in pricing.
• High Level of Attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of costing analysis.
• Must have very good analytical skills (spreadsheet ninja).
• Must have very good people management and issue resolution skills.
• Proven experience in Customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound time-management and organizational skills.
