Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team within the construction and real estate sector.
  • The ideal candidate will possess exceptional negotiation skills and a solid understanding of procurement processes specific to our industry.
  • This role is critical in ensuring our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies tailored to the construction and real estate market to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality and value.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to forecast procurement needs and timelines.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure they meet contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchases, contracts, and vendor communications.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors, ensuring favorable conditions for the company.
  • Manage the procurement process, from requisition to purchase order, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about construction and real estate trends and pricing.
  • Implement best practices for procurement and continually seek opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on procurement status and performance metrics for senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) are advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction or real estate sectors.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations and contract management.

Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Keen analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Measurable KPIs:

  • Cost savings achieved through procurement strategies.
  • Number of contracts negotiated and successfully managed.
  • Supplier performance ratings and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Timeliness of procurement activities relative to project timelines.
  • Reduction in procurement cycle time.
