Job Position: Reconciliation and Settlement Officer
Job Location: Yaba (Sabo), Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities


  • Manage processing and settlement of financial transactions initiated from various payment platforms.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation and settlement of financial transactions within the organization.
  • Execute chargebacks and dispute resolutions of local and international transactions.
  • Prepare and submit report of the accounts to the Chief Financial Officer on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Perform interbank card transaction settlements.
  • Reconcile accounts for exceptions and subsequent escalations of exception daily to the switch or third parties for resolution.
  • Analyse data, identify errors or discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain financial integrity and compliance.
  • Support Fraud mitigation and monitoring by reporting suspicious transactions to Security team.

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Accounting or a related field.
  • Previous work experience as a financial officer or settlement and reconciliation officer.
  • Previous experience working in the payment solution field.
  • Solid familiarity with Fintech processes.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and basic SQL knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment processing – gateways, core banking etc.
  • Teamwork and self starter attribute to be able to influence and direct the settlement and reconciliation process.
  • Experience with electronic payment systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Extensive reconciliation experience and knowledge.

Salary
N200,000 Monthly.
