  • A driven, enthusiastic, channel sales team manager with the excellent sales, negotiation, planning and business skills to grow the cloud technology and license business with and through the top channel partners of Africa Cluster (Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa)
  • This sales team leader will be part of the Oracle Technology & Cloud channel sales organisation working closely with other channel teams, field sales teams, partners and end customers to meet & exceed sales targets with and through the top channel partners
  • This position will report to the Africa Cluster Leader – A&C.
  • Pre-existing network and strong relationships with key cloud and technology partners, VADs, global and regional systems integrators is key to help us deliver value and customer success to our mutual clients.
  • Our focus in the year ahead is to build an industry leading channel business for Oracle’s cloud technology portfolio. This exciting leadership/people management role is key to that success.

Job Description

  • We are looking for a dynamic sales team leader who will be part of a focused and winning channel sales team with high level of sales and negotiating skills, drive and presentation skills
  • The candidate should be an experienced sales person comfortable building long term, strategic relationships with named and vertical business alliance partners
  • Proven sales experience in direct or channel environment. Channel sales experience is a bonus. Prior management experience key.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

  • Builds long term, strategic relationships with named and vertical business alliance partners.
  • Executes the strategic marketing and new business plans for all assigned partners to meet or exceed assigned business goals
  • Works with Partners to identify opportunities and create demand through lead generation activities and target account selling strategies
  • Actively track joint sales pipeline and meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets. Develop and maintain relationships with Oracle Partners and executing the Partner Engagement plan. Establish and maintain partner preference for Oracle solutions
  • Monitor partners business results, making recommendations for improvements to increase penetration for the strategic partners. Establish rules of engagement and operational escalation procedures to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers
  • Demonstrated track record developing and managing Global Partnerships and driving Partner account activity. Prefer strong analytical, sales channel and marketing skills.
