Job Position: Retail Accountant
Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description
- The Accountant contributes to the efficient and effective operation of Business ensuring all day-to-day finance and accounts requirements are completed as and when required.
- He must work closely with all areas of the department with the day-to-day aspects of financial management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts timely and accurately
- Compare actual performance against budget
- Maintaining various sales channels accounts and managing processes in relation to Accounts payable, accounts receivable
- Adhere to purchase order procedures such as bank reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory, sales / Point of Sale reconciliations e.t.c
- Timely rendition of accounting information and the preparation of monthly sales budgets, daily reports of individual representatives & product line
- Day-day sales analysis, daily payment analysis (i.e. stock, cash, credit, bank transaction)
- Weekly- Total sales, credit sales, cash sales, sales made to various sales channels, expenses incurred, all deposits.
- Monthly-Monthly analysis of daily and weekly reports, goods ordered.
- Maintaining the accounts of clients, and managing processes in relation to: bank reconciliations, Inventory and stock analysis reports and analyze variances Point of Sale (POS)
- Job costing and management
- Ensure timely rendition of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly sales report (scrutinize the Daily Sales Reports submitted by the Sales Team.)
- Create and maintain weekly dashboard (i.e. sales achieved against budget)
- Timely collection of receivables in line with the stipulated Credit/Payment Policies of the company.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of two or more years experience in accounting and auditing.
- Good Communication skills.
- Proficient in spreadsheet software (Excel) and Word.
- Access and Accounting Software knowledge preferred.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Ability/experience in processing accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks; work efficiently with minimal supervision; detail-oriented.
- The ideal candidate should reside in the Ikorodu axis.
