1.) Junior Mechanical Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Overview

  • We are recruiting a Junior Mechanical Engineer to assist in maintaining production machinery, improving efficiency, and supporting senior engineers in various technical operations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist in the setup and calibration of machines.
  • Track and report equipment performance and issues.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • BSc / HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a plastic or footwear production environment.
  • Familiarity with injection molding or extrusion processes.
  • Technically sound and willing to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork abilities.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.

  • Our client is hiring a Head of Human Resources to lead the people operations of a dynamic plastics manufacturing company.
  • This person must be a strategic HR leader with a strong manufacturing background, capable of aligning HR with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead HR planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and staff development.
  • Enforce labor law compliance and internal policy implementation.
  • Manage employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and staff welfare.
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide reports to management.
  • Coordinate payroll and benefits in collaboration with finance.

3.) Senior Accountant

Job Locations: Lagos & Port Harcourt - Rivers
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the financial operations of our diverse business portfolio, including pharmacies, supermarkets, and hair & beauty salons.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide critical financial insights to support strategic decision making.
  • This Role will require supervising over night stock count process, occasional weekend work due to the nature of the businesses. Also work during public holidays due to the nature of the businesses.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:

  • Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, receivables, and payables.
  • Manage and monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operations. Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for all business units.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Internal Controls and Auditing
  • Develop and enforce effective internal controls to safeguard business stock.
  • Include developing processes and policies such as procurement process, internal audit plan
  • Prepare financial forecasts and business performance reports. Taxation and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate taxes.
  • Prepare and file accurate tax returns and liaise with tax authorities when necessary.
  • Develop an accounting manual • Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
  • Identify risks and propose improvements to financial processes. Team Leadership and Collaboration
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth.
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial guidance and support decision making.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN
  • Experience in the retail or service industry is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Nigerian tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
