Senior Accountant

A pharmaceutical organisation with interest in other sectors, is currently seeking to employ suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Nigeria
Responsibilities
Must be able to:

• Work with little or no supervision
• Supervise other Account Staff
• Collate and Post Journal vouchers raised by other staff in preparation of monthly Management Account/Report
• Ability to generate product cost for Management decision
• Generate Sales reports from different locations/regions (both in Naira value and in quantities of each product sold)
• Raise all appropriate journals
• Maintain sales and Purchases ledger Control accounts, valuation of stock, finished goods in the warehouse, Raw materials and work in Progress on monthly basis
• Participating In monthly stock taken exercise
• Preparation of Monthly/Annual Management accounts Report, such as:
  • Analysis of Bank and Petty cash book transaction
  • Trade debtors.
  • Trade Creditors.
  • Rent prepayment/accurals.
  • Bank and cash balances.
  • Summary of closing stock
• Preparation of stock reconciliation for all depots
• Preparation, implementation and monitoring of company budget
• Any other duties assigned by the Chief Accountant

Educational Qualification

• Must possess a first Degree or HND in Accounting with ACA
• Computer literate - ability to use MS word, Excel, Powerpoint etc

Experience

• At least 7 - 10 years post qualification cognate working experience preferably in a Manufacturing industry
• Experienced/ knowledgeable on Tally and other Accounting Packages
