Job Position: Senior Accountant
Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountants to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support management in decision-making.
• The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with 5 to 10 years on Job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable; process vendor invoices and staff claims.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor inventory, costing, and fixed assets for accuracy (especially in manufacturing and construction).
• Prepare and file statutory returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension, etc.) in compliance with Nigerian tax laws.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decisions.
• Support both internal and external audits by providing required schedules and explanations.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting from a reputable institution.
• 5 - 7 years of relevant hands-on accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and statutory deductions.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must reside on Lagos Island or environs.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or in view) is an added advantage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables dashboards financial models)
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (Sage QuickBooks).

Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 monthly
