Job Position: Senior Accountant

Job Location: Maryland, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting functions, strengthen financial controls, and support management with accurate financial reporting across our haulage operations. The ideal candidate must understand the financial dynamics of logistics, fleet operations, fuel management, and service-based billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and supervise junior accounts staff.
• Review receivables, payables, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and support financial reporting.
• Monitor operational costs including fuel, maintenance, and fleet-related expenses.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification (ICAN/ACCA) is a strong advantage with 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in logistics, haulage, transport, or service-based companies.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and cost control.
• Practical understanding of operational accounting (fuel, fleet expenses, productivity).
• Proficiency accounting softwares e.g sage 50
• High integrity, leadership ability, and attention to detail.

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 / Month.
