Job Position: Stock Control and Inventory Officer
Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Summary


  • The Stock Control and Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the store's inventory of gadgets and accessories.
  • This role ensures that the inventory levels are accurate, organized, and efficiently managed to support the store's sales and operational goals.
  • The officer will work closely with the procurement, sales, and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize discrepancies, and improve inventory turnover.

Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for all gadgets and accessories.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and physical inventory counts.
  • Update inventory management systems with accurate stock data

Stock Control:

  • Ensure all stock movements (incoming and outgoing) are properly documented and recorded.
  • Manage stock transfers between storage locations and retail floor.
  • Identify and report stock discrepancies and investigate variances.

Inventory Optimization:

  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize stockouts.
  • Monitor product life cycles and manage end-of-life inventory.
  • Coordinate with marketing and sales teams for promotions and clearance sales.

Compliance and Quality Control:

  • Ensure all inventory procedures comply with company policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment.
  • Implement best practices for inventory handling and storage.

Customer Service:

  • Support sales staff with inventory-related inquiries.
  • Address and resolve inventory-related issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Education: OND / HND or equivalent; Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in inventory management or stock control, preferably in a retail environment.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working Hours: Mondays-Saturdays (9am-6pm) -May require working during public-holidaysand peak sales periods.

Salary
N47,000 Monthly.
