Job Position: Stock Control and Inventory Officer
Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- The Stock Control and Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the store's inventory of gadgets and accessories.
- This role ensures that the inventory levels are accurate, organized, and efficiently managed to support the store's sales and operational goals.
- The officer will work closely with the procurement, sales, and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize discrepancies, and improve inventory turnover.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for all gadgets and accessories.
- Conduct regular stock audits and physical inventory counts.
- Update inventory management systems with accurate stock data
Stock Control:
- Ensure all stock movements (incoming and outgoing) are properly documented and recorded.
- Manage stock transfers between storage locations and retail floor.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies and investigate variances.
Inventory Optimization:
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize stockouts.
- Monitor product life cycles and manage end-of-life inventory.
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams for promotions and clearance sales.
Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure all inventory procedures comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment.
- Implement best practices for inventory handling and storage.
Customer Service:
- Support sales staff with inventory-related inquiries.
- Address and resolve inventory-related issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Education: OND / HND or equivalent; Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in inventory management or stock control, preferably in a retail environment.
Skills:
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working Hours: Mondays-Saturdays (9am-6pm) -May require working during public-holidaysand peak sales periods.
Salary
N47,000 Monthly.
