We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Store Recordkeeper

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Store Recordkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all stock received, stored, and issued within the ORÍKÌ store or warehouse. 
  • In addition to recordkeeping duties, the role supports the storekeeper in packing, handling, arranging, and monitoring the movement of products to ensure a well-organized and efficient storage system.

Responsibilities
Inventory Recordkeeping:

  • Record all incoming and outgoing items promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain manual and digital logs of stock levels, item codes, batch numbers, and expiry dates.
  • Update inventory records daily and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Assist in conducting periodic stock counts and inventory audits.

Store Operations:

  • Ensure the store is kept clean, tidy, and organized, with all items properly labeled and stored.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure that all store equipment and machinery are properly maintained and serviced.
  • Implement and maintain effective store layout and organization systems.

Goods Receipt and Inspection:

  • Inspect all incoming goods for damage, quantity, and quality.
  • Verify that all incoming goods match the purchase order and receipt documentation.
  • Ensure accurate receipting and recording of all incoming goods.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or irregularities in incoming goods.
  • Assist the storekeeper in receiving, unpacking, sorting, and arranging goods.

Stock Control - Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Implement and maintain effective stock control measures, including stock rotation.
  • Monitor and report on stock levels, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that all stock is properly stored and handled to minimize waste and obsolescence.
  • Implement and maintain effective systems for tracking and monitoring stock levels.
  • Help maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) standards where applicable.

Issuance of Goods:

  • Ensure accurate and timely issuance of goods to authorized personnel.
  • Verify that all issued goods match the request documentation and are properly authorized.
  • Maintain accurate records of all issued goods.

Qualifications / Experience

  • HND or B.Sc in Business Administration, Finance or any other related facilities
  • 2-3 years of experience in a storekeeping or inventory management role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • computer skills (Excel, inventory software, etc.).
  • Honest, dependable, and committed to accurate recordkeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and arrange products as needed.
