Job Position: Surveillance Technician

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria (On-site)
Job type: Part-time

About the Job

• CCTV Technicians are responsible for installing and maintaining closed-circuit television systems. They commonly work with video cameras, monitors, recording devices, networking equipment, and other related hardware to ensure that these systems are functioning properly at all times.
• CCTV Technicians may also be called upon to troubleshoot problems with the system or its components. This might involve anything from replacing broken parts to diagnosing software issues or other technical difficulties.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing security cameras, computer networks, and other equipment used in video surveillance systems.
• Monitoring the operation of security equipment for malfunctions or other problems.
• Recording events on camera and storing footage in a digital format for later reference.
• Maintaining logs of security incidents and making sure they are reported to appropriate personnel.
• Installing and maintaining security equipment such as alarms or access control systems.
• Responding to security breaches or other emergencies such as fires or medical emergencies.
• Operating computer systems that monitor surveillance camera feeds for activity.

Job Requirements

• A graduate of related discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in surveillance system installation and maintenance.
• Relevant certificates in surveillance systems engineering.
