Job Position: Warehouse Security Specialist
Job Location: Nigeria
Job Description
- The Warehouse Security Associate is responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse, its contents, and its personnel.
- This role involves monitoring security systems, patrolling the premises, and responding to security incidents.
- The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent observational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Security Monitoring:
- Operate and monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras and alarms.
- Conduct regular patrols of the warehouse to ensure security and safety standards are met.
- Monitor access points and verify the credentials of individuals entering the facility.
Incident Response:
- Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, and other emergencies.
- Report security incidents to the Warehouse Security Executive and document details accurately.
- Assist in investigations of security incidents and thefts.
Asset Protection:
- Ensure the protection of high and low value goods within the warehouse.
- Implement measures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security threats.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential security risks.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with warehouse staff and management to address security concerns.
- Provide security updates and reports as needed.
- Promote a culture of security awareness among warehouse employees.
Compliance:
- Adhere to all security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding security.
Qualifications
- Education: HND / B.Sc in Security or related fields; additional training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
- Experience: 3 - 5 Years of Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations effectively.
- Basic knowledge of security systems and technology.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
