Association for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities of Nigeria (AIDDN)

AIDDN is a non-governmental organization that advocates for the rights and welfare of Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in Nigeria. AIDDN's membership comprises Persons with IDD, Parents/Carers of Children and Adults with IDD, Professionals, interested CSOs, and private Individuals with genuine interest and commitment to making life better for all our Children with IDD.
AIDDN is registered with the C.A.C. and is a member of the Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD). AIDDN is a cluster of Persons with IDD and was established to be the “Voice” for Persons with IDD, who cannot defend themselves or advocate for their rights and needs.
IDD is a group of conditions that affect the cognitive, physical, and social development of individuals, such as Down-Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Bifida, Hydrocephalus, Microcephalus, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), and such as related to Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
