Ades was incorporated in 2004 and has been trading in the Royal Borough of Greenwich since then. Firstly as distributors of dried and smoked fish, and in 2006 the company expanded into selling catering supplies before opening the Cash & Carry in 2007. The company is managed by a dedicated team with extensive experience in the food industry and has maintained an excellent reputation in the industry over many years.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Account Officer
Job Location: Oyo

Description
- The ideal candidate should be a team player, enjoy working with a variety of clients, and have knowledge of basic accounting functions. We also value those who are ready to learn and adapt with a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Managing of account payables and receivables
- Reconciling of any irregularities in receipts
- Generating of account statements
- Assisting the Account Manager in general financial management and analysis.
- Prepare financial reports on a day-to-day basis
- Coordinate with the Account Manager in evaluating policies and recommend an improvement plan
- Develop and establish all accounting policies for banks which includes preparation of bank instructions.
- Work closely with the Account Manager to prepare monthly financial statements
- Maintaining and monitoring the company’s financial systems
- Raising of vouchers, LPOs
- Maintaining record of all receipts and payments
- Acting as point of contact for all internal and external financial related issues
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and all other contributions
- Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Account Manager.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- BSc or HND in Accounting
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year working experience in finance and accounts (preferably retail industry)
- Experience in using accounting software such as Sage 200 would be an added advantage.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature.
- Good time management skills, ability to prioritise and ensure deadlines are met.
- Ability to work well in a team and build strong working relationships.
- Excellent IT skills - Proficiency in MS Office specifically in excel and confident when using digital skills and other applications.
- The desire to learn and take on new challenges.
