We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Account Officer
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of company bank accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, management reports, and support budgeting/forecasting.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to Nigerian financial regulations (e.g., FIRS, CBN guidelines).
  • Tax Matters: Assist with tax computations, filings, and compliance in Nigeria.
  • Cost Management: Track costs related to ISP operations (network, infrastructure).
  • Audit Support: Provide documentation and cooperate with internal/external auditors.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assist in managing company cash flow.
  • Collaboration: Work with operations, sales, and technical teams for financial aspects of ISP services.
  • Specific ISP Context Considerations- Billing and Revenue Management: Manage billing for internet/data services, ensuring accuracy.
  • Project Costs: Track costs for network expansion/upgrades typical in ISP operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) regulations impacting finances.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, ACA (ICAN), ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of accounting experience, ISP/telecom experience advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations.
  • Analytical skills, attention to detail.
