Job Position: Civil Project Engineer
Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Summary


  • Highly skilled and motivated Civil Projects Professional to oversee and manage construction and infrastructure projects.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, supervision, and successful completion of civil projects, ensuring compliance with standards, safety protocols, and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Design
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans and designs.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure feasibility.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants for seamless project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays in projects, compliance and safety
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for project execution and management
  • Supervise onsite construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor quality control standards and ensure adherence to design and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections to maintain a safe working environment for all workers. stakeholder communication
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, clients, and management.
  • Address client queries and ensure satisfaction with project deliverables, documentation, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, costs, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and submit project completion reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 10 years + of experience in civil project management, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing specific types of projects, e.g., buildings, road works, refurbishments, etc.
  • Optional Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and project management tools.
  • Proficient in using software like AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project, or similar.
  • Excellent problemsolving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills to manage teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant local regulations and building codes.
