We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Content Writer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

• Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies).
• Write clear marketing documents to promote our products/services on all our platforms.
• Prepare well-structured drafts for Whitepapers, Ebooks and Playbooks, using content marketing strategies.
• Proofread and edit owned and 3rd party blog posts before publication.
• Deploy emails to database and track email open and click rates, replies and general engagement.
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics using responses on social media comments, play store comments, etc., as influence.
• Submit work timely to manager for input and approval.
• Coordinate with growth, marketing and design teams to illustrate articles, scripts, annual reports, playbooks and ebooks.
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO tools and guidelines to increase web traffic.
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone).
• Update website content as needed.

Requirements and Skills

• B.Sc in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field.
• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role.
• Portfolio of published articles.
• Experience doing research using multiple sources.
• Familiarity with web publications.
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress) and CRM tools.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
