Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Corporate Service Officer to manage and oversee the administrative and operational needs of our organization within the dynamic oil and gas sector.
- The ideal candidate will be a highly organized professional with a strong understanding of corporate governance, human resources, and procurement specific to this industry.
- This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our corporate services, supporting our business objectives, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company's activities and operations are in full compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing the oil and gas industry. Prepare, file, and maintain all corporate legal documents, permits, and licenses. Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies such as the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and other relevant government agencies.
- Administrative and Office Management: Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the office, including office supply management, vendor relations, and facility maintenance. Oversee travel arrangements, logistics, and accommodations for staff and visiting delegates.
- Human Resources & Employee Relations: Support the human resources function by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, managing benefits, compensation, and performance management data. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding corporate policies, benefits, and administrative procedures.
- Procurement and Supply Chain Support: Assist in the procurement of goods and services, including office equipment and materials necessary for corporate operations. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of services. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and industry-specific regulations.
- Financial and Budgetary Oversight: Collaborate with the finance department to assist with budget monitoring, expense tracking, and invoice processing for the corporate services division. Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by senior management.
- Stakeholder Management: Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, clients, and partners. Provide administrative support to senior management and other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Law, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a corporate or administrative role, with at least 2 years of experience within the oil and gas or a related heavy industry.
- In-depth understanding of corporate governance, administrative procedures, and office management.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian oil and gas industry's regulatory framework and operational standards is a significant advantage.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant corporate management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Proactive and resourceful, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities. High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
