A reputable Montessori Nursery and Primary School in Surulere, Lagos, seeks an enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to inspire and guide children aged 14months – 5 years through hands-on and play-based learning experiences. The ideal candidate must be warm, patient, and deeply passionate about early childhood education.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons that support children’s holistic development.
• Use Montessori materials and EYFS principles in teaching.
• Observe, assess, and document pupils’ progress and learning patterns.
• Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents and participate in school events.
• Support children’s emotional and social growth through positive interactions.

Requirements/Skills:

• Minimum of NCE or Bachelor’s Degree (B.Ed. / Early Childhood Education) or related field.
• Montessori or EYFS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in early years classes.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm for hands-on learning
• Patience, empathy, and strong classroom presence
• Good organization and observation skills
• Team spirit and commitment to professional growth.
