Job Position: Settlement Manager

Job Description

  • Our client has an opportunity for an individual with a Managerial experience in Payment Settlement Management with direct experience in financial technology, banking or the wider FinTech industry.

Responsibilities


  • Supervise the accurate processing and settlement of transactions initiated using debit or credit cards and USSD across various platforms
  • Attending to customer and merchant disputes and ensuring prompt resolution
  • Liaising with switching companies and card schemes on Settlement issues
  • Keep abreast daily CBN regulatory requirement report
  • Ensure prompt settlement of transactions routed through various payments platforms
  • Development, supervision and implementation of strategies to reduce operational risk and ensure safe and reliable settlement processing.
  • Carry out daily reconciliation of accounts for exceptions and subsequent escalation of exceptions to the switch and other vendors or third parties for resolution.
  • Ensures timely reconciliation of all transactions done on the bank’s terminals
  • Performs settlement of interbank card transactions
  • Executes chargebacks and dispute resolutions of local and international cards transactions
  • Performs electronic transaction analytics and reporting using SQL and Excel.
  • Formulate Standard Operating Procedure for the automation of settlement processes

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any related courses
  • 7-10 years working experience in the same capacity
  • Membership of the ACCA, ICAN, CIS or any other related professional qualification is required.
  • Digital Financial Services or banking industry experience
  • Experience with electronic payment systems
  • Excellent knowledge of payment processing- gateways
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic financial modelling and financial statement analysis skill.

Job Position: Data Analyst - Fintech

Responsibilities

  • Support the Fintech business by utilizing the vast data set generated by the customers globally,through their daily transactions.
  • Brainstorming innovative ways to leverage the unique data to predict, prevent and solve business problems.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand the challenges they face and present clear data to convince them of clear strategies and solutions.
  • Apply quantitative analysis, and data mining to extract, capture and understand data to form an opinion on how to best help our clients and derive relevant insights for strategies in customer interaction and product or business growth.
  • Develop visualizations to make your complex analyses accessible to a broad management.
  • Partner with a variety of internal teams and external partners to provide comprehensive solutions.
  • Find opportunities to craft products out of analyses that are suitable for multiple clients.

Academic Qualifications / Skills
The ideal successful candidates should have must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Analytical field such as Statistics, Mathematics or other related courses,
  • 7-10 years’ experience in data-based decision-making or quantitative analysis
  • Experience with extracting and aggregating data from large data sets using Python, Excel, and SQL
  • Competence in Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau
  • Previous exposure to financial services, FinTech, credit cards or merchant analytics
  • Insight and experience of applying Data Science in business decisions.

Job Position: Finance Manager
Job Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Summary

  • The Finance Manager coordinates all activities of the Finance department and is involved in the supervision and management of general financial activities, analyses, business partnership, and ensuring statutory compliance in all accounting initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leadership: The Finance Manager will lead the finance department and supervises end-of-period processes and supports the analysis of the periodical business performance, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Financial Analysis: Leading in preparation of accounts and conducting quarterly/annual analysis and monitoring the business’ annual budgets.
  • Policy Formulation: To formulate and implement financial policy and procedure for Finance department. Ensure that the policy is appropriately set for the achievement of company overall goals and objectives. Must also ensure compliance.
  • Collaboration: Maintain relationship with bank and ensure periodic bank reconciliations. Review transaction entries to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure that company financial reports are prepared in compliance with the standard requirement.

Academic Qualifications / Skills

  • B.Sc / HND in Accounting.
  • 7 - 10 years working experience.
  • Prior management experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of the Complete Cycle of Transaction in Financial Processes.
  • Cash Flow Analysis and Management.
  • Budgeting and Control Procedures and Standards.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis Skills- Including Collection & Interpretation of Financial Data.
  • Highly proficient in the use of financial software such as Sage, Peachtree etc.
