Event Manager

Impact Africa Summit is a clinical research conference to attract over 500 African Researchers, Health professionals, and global pharmaceutical industry professionals/ companies. The focus is to improve health research, health data and innovation to enable healthcare reform in Africa. We are looking for an event manager/organizer to work with the IMPACT AFRICA team in providing project direction, planning, organization and promotion of Impact Africa, be responsible for a smooth running, effective management, using excellent interpersonal skills and commercial awareness is required.

Job Descriptions

• Develop original ideas for event
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and vendors
• Book venues, equipment and supplies, entertainment
• Hire and supervise contractors and vendors
• Liaise with team on project direction and execution
• Communicate daily with management team, planning work schedules
• Manage budgets and financial plans
• Carry out troubleshooting where necessary and address challenges as they arise
• Ensure all deliverables are made available in due time
• Be responsible for all project budgets from start to finish
• Collaborate with internal groups by providing critical information pertaining to the conference
• Providing support and timely information to speakers leading up to the conference and managing the onsite experience for speakers and participants during the conference

Qualification

A graduate with a degree (Bachelor’s degree/HND) in any field ,however  relevant experience in event planning and management  with a degree in any of the following field is an advantage:
