We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Finance & Admin Officer
Job Location: Kaduna

Job Summary
- The FAO is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the office, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall growth and sustainability of our agricultural ventures.
- This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent administrative skills, and an appreciation for the unique challenges and opportunities within the agricultural sector.
Responsibilities
Financial Management Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide support in preparing and documentation of regular financial reports (e.g., income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) to management.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Provide support in liaising with external auditors and tax consultants as required.
- Ensure statutory deductions (WHT, PAYE, ITF & NSITF) are remitted within the stipulated timelines.
- Assist in the financial analysis of crop production costs and profitability.
- Track and analyze financial performance against budget, identifying variances and providing explanations.
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation.
- Oversee a monthly inventory record and conduct periodic stock checks.
- Assist in the preparation of financial information for grant proposals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Administrative Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the office.
- Manage office supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Maintain organized filing systems (both physical and electronic).
- Provide support in organizing and coordinating meetings and travel arrangements.
- Assist with the organization of company events and workshops.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR-related documentation.
- Ensure the maintenance and functionality of office equipment.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Support the implementation of company policies and procedures.
- Ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4) in a finance and administrative role, preferably within the agricultural industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAGE 300) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Integrity and a strong sense of confidentiality.
- Familiarity with the agricultural sector in Nigeria is an advantage.
