Job Position: Finance Manager

Job Summary

  • The Finance Manager oversees the financial health of the organization by managing accounting and financial operations, developing financial strategies, and providing leadership to the finance team.
  • The role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the general accounting function, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, balance sheet management, and customer rebate management.
  • Review monthly payroll.
  • Close monitoring of production and operation costs.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company's assets are protected.
  • Supervise the completion of federal and state tax reporting requirements.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information/performance.
  • Ensure the monthly bank reconciliation is performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Control and forecast income and expenditure
  • Assist in budget preparation and enforcing compliance
  • Prepare a weekly, monthly, or quarterly report.
  • Protect an organisation’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Respond to enquiries from management regarding financial results, special reporting requests, and the like.
  • Ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
  • Report on the critical performance ratio of the Company
  • Supervise all activities of the department.
  • Perform other tasks as may be required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BSc / HND in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5 - 8 years of progressive financial management experience, including leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Knowledge of account payables, receivables, accounting procedures and accounting software
  • Creative, self-motivated and passionate for the work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good numerical skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines

Salary
N400,000 - N600,000 monthly.
