Job Overview


  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team.
  • As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions and providing accurate financial information to support the organization's operations.
  • Your role will involve monitoring financial data, preparing financial statements, analyzing trends, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Assisting in preparing budgets and business planning, including projected room revenue
  • Review and reconcile bank statements on a regular basis.
  • Ensuring legislation is followed regarding Consumption tax, WHT, VAT and PAYE
  • Chasing late payments, reporting bad debts, and keeping a careful eye on the cash flow
  • Coordinating stock control operations with warehouse staff, as well as the sales and finance departments.
  • Analyzing supply chain data to ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock.
  • Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
  • Performing regular inventory audits and keeping stock purchasing within budget.
  • Assist in the coordination of external audits and regulatory reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • BSc, OND or HND in Accounting, Finance or Economics (ICAN or ACCA certification is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (Zoho, QuickBooks or similar).
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.
