Job Position: Financial Analyst
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Managing Director

Objective / Purpose of Job 

• This is a junior role that supports the CEO to research new business opportunities across industries including financial services, energy, marine, and technology.
• The incumbent will be responsible for researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data related to markets, finance, economics, and customers in various sectors.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative and quantitative research.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry and related sectors being researched.
• Analyze and interpret financial data.
• Prepare reports based on data analysis.
• Evaluate investment opportunities.
• Prepare financial forecasts/business plans.
• Use Excel functions to organize and analyze data.
• Create charts, graphs, and presentations for leadership teams.
• Identify trends and make recommendations write Information Memoranda and Investment Teasers

Education / Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / MSc with 5 - 10 years relevant work experience.
• Strong ability to create financial models, including company valuations (DCF/ P/E etc.)
• Strong writing and communication skills
• 5+ years in a financial analyst/research role in an Investment House or Accounting Firm
• Strong ability to analyze financial data.
• Strong numeral skills
• High attention to detail
• Inquisitive
• Organized
• Logical
• Reliable
• Ability to distill large amounts of information into specific takeaways.
