Job Description


  • The Fintech Specialist will oversee the development, integration, and optimization of payment gateway systems.
  • The role focuses on secure, compliant payment processing and improving user experience.
  • You will collaborate with various teams, including development, operations, and compliance, to deliver efficient payment solutions.

Responsibilities
Payment Gateway Integration:

  • Lead the integration of payment gateways with internal systems and third-party vendors for smooth transaction processing.

Transaction Monitoring & Optimization:

  • Analyze transaction data to improve performance, reduce fees, and increase approval rates.

Security & Compliance:

  • Ensure payment systems adhere to PCI DSS and other relevant regulations, focusing on maintaining data security.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide support for payment-related issues and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve gateway bugs.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with payment gateway providers, banks, and financial institutions.

New Payment Solutions:

  • Explore new payment methods, such as mobile wallets and cryptocurrency, and assess their feasibility for integration.

User Experience:

  • Work with product teams to streamline the payment process, ensuring minimal friction for customers.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Generate reports on payment operations and identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payment gateway management, fintech, or payment processing.
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing technologies (APIs, SDKs).
  • Familiarity with security standards (PCI DSS, 3DS) and encryption methods.
  • Experience in transaction monitoring, fraud detection, and chargeback management.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of emerging payment technologies, such as cryptocurrency or blockchain, is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, SQL) for system integrations.
  • Experience with global payment networks (Visa, MasterCard) and alternative methods (PayPal, Stripe).
  • Familiarity with fintech regulations and compliance frameworks.
