De Talents is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Position: Generator Mechanic
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Tasks

• Undertakes generator planned maintenance tasks.
• Undertakes generator reactive maintenance tasks.
• Identifies materials required for tasks such as, generator servicing and repairs.
• Assist in the identification of critical spares items.
• Follows the company’s policies and procedures.
• Monitor contractor’s progress and standard of work.
• Liaises with various generator service contractors.
• Other related duties as required and assigned by management.
• Operate generator sets and supply power to the plant.
• Responsible for fault finding/trouble shooting, repairing emergency breakdowns and planned scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, to generators and accessories.
• Responsible for 1st and 2nd line servicing and repairs to diesel generators, ranging from 50KVA to 1500KVA.
• Follows safety instructions, observes best practices and correct procedures, in operating and maintaining generator sets, to maximum efficiency.
• Check, monitor and record all activities, e.g. temperatures, diesel usage, power output monitor readings, as per log sheets and create and send daily reports.
• Reporting of incidents.
• Ensure all safety equipments are working in good condition and follow safety standard operating procedures.
• Ensure that all generator sets are in good running condition.
• Keep Generator area is clean, to avoid any hazards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• BSc Mechanical Engineering
• Experienced generator mechanic/technician/service engineer.

Experience:

• 5 years of work experience, operating, maintaining, servicing and repairing generators.

Beneficial:

• Additional mechanical training, relevant to generator servicing and repair.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 / month.
