Position Summary

  • The Head Cashier is responsible for overseeing cashiers, managing cash registers, handling large transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash handling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for balancing cash drawers, preparing daily cash reports, and coordinating with the finance department.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are essential in this role.
  • You also need to answer customer inquiries, address concerns, and ensure pricing accuracy.
  • As the head cashier, your duties would involve processing customer purchases, handling cash transactions.
  • Operating the cash register, scanning and bagging items, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a tidy checkout areas.
  • Cashiers may assist with restocking shelves and monitoring inventory levels. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and a friendly demeanor are crucial for success in this role.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree, HND or Master's Degree qualification with 5 - 10 years of work experience.
  • Relevant experience in cash handling, strong math and organizational skills, customer service expertise, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as head cashiers often interact with customers and resolve any issues or complaints.
