We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Head, Network Administration
Location: Lagos
Job Objective(s)
- Is responsible for the Monitoring and tune network configuration for optimal performance, including bandwidth optimization and QoS management.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Mapping out of points on floor plan for the installation of Data, voice and UPS in new sites.
- Attend to users request for network points or LAN upgrade.
- Manage Wireless WAN Controller. Implement wireless LAN functional enhancement features. Provide support to wireless end users. Implement wireless security features
- Conduct site survey for link and evaluate deployment options. Liaise with relevant units for coordination of infrastructure protection (earthen, surge protection, lighting arrestor, Mast protection)
- Manage core devices in Head Office and DR.
- Review and evaluate vendor’s offered LAN installations based on agreed technical specification and standard.
- Support users and troubleshoot network connectivity and issues relating to users access to network resources bank-wide.
- Support local area network devices for head office and annex offices
- Processing payments for Network LAN vendors: Ensure vendor submits required documentations and diagrams for all executed jobs. This include Fluke test and as built diagrams. Coordinate supervision of vendor installations bank wide.
- Manage Cisco Universal Communication Manager for VoIP. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with VoIP communications and escalate to Service Providers where necessary. Provide end user support on VoIP issues.
- Manage Wireless WAN Controller. Implement wireless LAN functional enhancement features. Provide support to wireless end users. Implement wireless security features

Minimum Education Qualifications
- Minimum educational level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with a Master's Degree as added advantage.
Previous Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum requisite experience: 3 - 5 years working experience in computer networking field.
Key Competency List:
- Knowledge
- Good knowledge in routing and switching.
- Knowledge of Network monitoring tools, eg Solarwinds, WhatsupGold
- Basic knowledge in network security.
- Good in knowledge in systems support.
- Good skills in Troubleshooting on Cisco devices and proffer solutions when problem do arise.
- Good in terminal emulators like putty and hyperterminal.
- Must be ready to work for long hours.
