Job Position: Human Resource Officer
Job Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Work closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
• Creating a recruitment plan and calendar according to operation and sales projections
• Recruit staff / selecting candidates which involves developing job descriptions, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing, generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips, warning letters and selecting candidates
• Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
• Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records
• Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities
• Develop and implement policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
• Prepare staff handbooks
• Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits
• Administer payroll and maintain employee records
• Deal with employees grievances and implement disciplinary procedures against employees who violate rules and regulations
• Develop HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements
• Plan and sometimes deliver training, including new staff inductions
• Collaborating with outside vendors, upper management and employees to maintain CSR standards conscripted by authorities
• Evaluating employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly

Job Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 2 - 4 years of work experience.
