Job Position: Human Resources Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description


  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of HR experience. As an experienced HR Officer, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and optimization of HR policies and practices that foster a positive work environment and support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide counselling on policies and procedures
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Support the administration of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct interviews and collaborate with hiring managers to identify top talent.
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
  • Develop training and development programs
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR role, with a strong background in general HR functions.
  • HR certification i.e CIPM, PHRI is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Strong ethics and reliability.
