Job Description


  • We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team.
  • The Internal Auditor will evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization's risk management, control, and governance processes.
  • The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and internal auditing standards

Responsibilities

  • Perform internal audits by established auditing standards and procedures.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Provide support and guidance to management on internal control issues and best practices.
  • Stay informed about changes in auditing standards, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Identify areas of potential risk or inefficiency and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct audits of financial transactions, operational processes, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans for management.
  • Collaborate with external auditors as needed during the audit process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or related field.
  • Professional certifications include ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) or ANAN (Association of National Accountants of Nigeria).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal control concepts, and auditing standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with audit software and data analysis tools is a plus.
