Job Position: Internal Control Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing basic internal control procedures to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Help track adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Provide support during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting evidence.
• Assist in ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded and reported in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure financial integrity.
• Identify potential risks, assess their impact, and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Regularly monitor compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on compliance standards, internal controls, and risk management procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 1-2 years of experience in internal control, audit, or accounting
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions carefully.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 / Month (Net).
