Job Description


  • We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory/Logistics Supervisor to oversee our inventory management and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient handling of inventory and smooth execution of logistics processes to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Supervise and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without overstocking.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to maintain accuracy in inventory records.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Oversee the coordination and execution of inbound and outbound logistics activities.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods, including managing relationships with carriers and freight companies.
  • Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, and packing.
  • Ensure that warehouse operations adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage space utilization and ensure the warehouse is organized and maintained.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the inventory and logistics team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Assign tasks and monitor team performance to ensure timely completion of objectives.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and logistics activities.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory status, logistics performance, and other relevant metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with logistics service providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues that may arise.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline inventory and logistics processes.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and apply relevant practices to improve operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management and logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and logistics systems.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and logistics operations.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
