Job Summary


  • We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Staff member to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes. 
  • The Inventory Staff will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock levels, conducting regular stock counts, and supporting the overall smooth operation of our warehouse and sales floor. 
  • This role is crucial in minimizing discrepancies, preventing losses, and ensuring product availability for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular and accurate physical stock counts and reconcile them with inventory records.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Accurately record all inventory movements, including incoming stock, sales, returns, and transfers between locations.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels and generate reports.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing and sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.
  • Participate in periodic inventory audits and contribute to process improvements.
  • Maintain organized and efficient storage of goods in the warehouse and on the sales floor.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in inventory levels, damaged goods, or expired products.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse and storage areas.
  • Perform other inventory-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma (OND/HND/Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is an advantage).
  • at least 1 - 2 years in inventory management, stock control, or a similar role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Excel and inventory management software.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and moving stock.
  • Familiarity with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory management principles is a plus.
