Role Overview


  • The Store / Inventory Manager will be responsible for running a highly controlled and systemized store operation.
  • This role ensures that all décor items, table settings, and event assets going out and returning are properly planned, tracked, documented, and accounted for.
  • The ideal candidate is firm, process-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive — someone who plans ahead and prevents last-minute, reactive store access during events.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of all décor items, tableware, and event assets.
  • Conduct routine stock checks and periodic audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor asset condition and flag items requiring repair, replacement, or retirement.

Store Control & Process Enforcement:

  • Enforce a structured inventory request system across all departments.
  • Ensure that each department submits one consolidated request per event.
  • Prevent unauthorized or last-minute access to the store during events.

Event Preparation & Dispatch:

  • Review and confirm all approved inventory requests ahead of event dates.
  • Prepare, count, label, and package requested items in advance.
  • Coordinate closely with the logistics team for timely delivery and return of items.

Returns, Loss & Damage Tracking:

  • Track all items issued, returned, damaged, or missing.
  • Document discrepancies and escalate issues promptly to management.
  • Maintain clear records for accountability and cost control.

Planning & Operational Coordination:

  • Work proactively with internal teams to ensure early planning for all events.
  • Develop and improve inventory systems, SOPs, and tracking tools.
  • Provide regular inventory status and variance reports to management.

Requirements

  • OND / HND / BSc in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience in inventory, store, warehouse, or asset management (event, hospitality, décor, or related industry preferred).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with high attention to detail.
  • Process-driven mindset with the ability to enforce structure and accountability.
  • Ability to work firmly and independently while collaborating across departments.
  • Proficiency in inventory tracking systems, spreadsheets, or stock management tools.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, forward-planning approach.

Salary
N250,000 monthly.
