Job Position: Investment Management Analyst
Job Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Mode Of Work: On Site
Reports To: Portfolio Manager
Job Summary
- The Investment Management Analyst will support the portfolio management team by conducting research and analysis to guide investment decisions.
- The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can analyze financial data, assess investment opportunities, and contribute to the optimization of portfolio performance.
- The candidate must have a minimum of one year of relevant experience and a keen interest in investment strategies and financial markets.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Support:
- Assist the Portfolio Manager in managing investment portfolios to meet clients' financial objectives.
- Monitor and review the performance of assets within the portfolio, identifying areas for optimization.
- Support in asset allocation strategies and periodic rebalancing of portfolios.
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth research on equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and other financial instruments.
- Analyze financial statements, industry trends, and market data to identify investment opportunities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations based on research findings.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare performance reports and presentations for internal and client review.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company investment guidelines.
- Maintain and update investment research databases and tools.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with the portfolio management team to develop investment strategies.
- Maintain communication with internal stakeholders and clients to provide updates on investment performance and strategies.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in investment research, portfolio management, or financial analysis.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel etc).
- Knowledge of investment instruments, including equities, fixed income, and mutual funds.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Any reputable investment-related certifications will be an advantage.
