Job Position: IT Officer
Job Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing the company’s website and related technology services that meet operational requirements in the designated area(s) of the company.
• Serves as the lead IT liaison with senior management & staff in the designated area(s) to understand and interpret client needs at a division level and to collaborate across lines in meeting those needs.
• Reviews vendor contracts and coordinates IT purchases (hardware, software and services) to ensure effective deployment of solutions aligned with user needs.
• Delivers appropriate personnel actions and educational and training programs to ensure high-quality professional staff performance in the area(s) of oversight.
• Directs and coordinates the local implementation the company’s IT operations, projects, and programs, ensuring alignment of IT services with the business needs of the area(s) and adherence to established project management principles and best management practices.
• Provides technical leadership on a variety of highly specialized project-related activities requiring expertise in specific technical areas for core information technology systems and services.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, and short- and long-range IT planning, with an emphasis on advocating for the needs of the area(s) supported; implements tracking and evaluation programs to assist in the accomplishment of established goals.
• Participates in the documentation and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures consistent with those of the company to ensure the effective operation of an organization.
• Participates in the development of IT Service CatLog offerings, Service Level Agreements, and Operating Level Agreements consistent with the needs of the organization.
• Participate as a member of the IT management team in planning, problem resolution, and reviewing department performance.
• Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree; at least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Knowledge and understanding of the current and developing strategic information requirements of an online business.
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology.
• Strategic planning and advanced leadership skills.
• Ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals about leading-edge information services technology.
• Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Ability to provide strategic guidance and counsel to clientele in the assessment and development of existing and/or proposed systems.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidates are subject to a 6 months probatory period. During these months of probation, 30% of the Salary is withheld and paid together with the last month of the contract, which is the 24th month.
• Two guarantors who live in Abuja are required. They must be currently employed and have verifiable proof of address and a valid means of ID.
• Successful candidates will be subject to a criminal background check, Documents & proof of address must also be verified before starting work.
• Successful candidates must be willing to commit to a minimum of 24 months of employment with us in writing with our legal team.
• Only candidates who live within Garki and its immediate environs will be considered.

Salary
N120,000 Monthly.
