We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: IT Operations Procurement Assistant

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 3-year renewable contract


Duties

  • Adopt ITIL best practice, to handle all IT procurement-related requests and inquiries efficiently through the Service Desk via telephone, email, the (CRM) end-user portal (Freshworks) or the electronic shop to ensure all user requests and needs are handled courteously, promptly, and effectively.
  • Respond to IT procurement request with a high level of accuracy, ensuring seamless coordination with the Supply Chain for timely processing and fulfillment.
  • Assist the Manager, ITSM in overseeing and managing IT stocks level, ensuring timely replenishment of suppliers to prevent shortages.
  • Support the Manager, ITSM in generating monthly procurement reports, covering stock levels, replenishments, and sales.
  • Use data insights to advise the Head of Unit on procurement trends and needs.
  • Perform desktop fixes, including software installations, system configurations, endpoint protection systems updates, and application upgrades to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of hardware failures, repairs, installations, and removal, escalating issues to Supervisor as needed.
  • Ensure the IT asset register remains up-to-date and the disposals comply IITA Disposal Strategy.
  • Act as a liaison between Supply Chain representatives, external IT vendors, and service providers for procurement of IT consumables and supplies.
  • Assist in patching computers, peripherals, printers, A/V systems, and software applications (e.g. upgrade and patch management, etc.) to ensure all systems remain updated and fully functional.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements
Qualification:

  • BSc / HND in Computer Science / Engineering, Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology or other engineering-related courses.
  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
  • Professional certifications in Service Management (CompTIA, ITIL, MCP, MCTS, and Programming Language) is required.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Be able to command excellent client relation and management skills.
  • Have experience in IT Procurement and assets management.
  • Have sound knowledge Microsoft Client Technologies Management (Wins 7,8,10,11).
  • Have good interpersonal and client relations skills.
