LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited exists to address the economic and social subjection of a large number of Nigerians through provision of financial services to micro, small and medium enterprises on affordable terms. LAPO Microfinance Bank provides a range of financial services which enable low-income households enhance their productive capacity; build and consolidate their economic and manage their risks. These products and services include loans, savings, micro-investment and micro-insurance services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: IT Quality Assurance Officer
Job Locations: Lagos & Edo

Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Design:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications.
  • Design and implement various testing methodologies (e.g., functional testing, performance testing, usability testing, security testing) as appropriate.
  • Create and maintain test data.

Test Execution & Reporting:

  • Execute test cases and document test results.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using a bug tracking system.
  • Report test results and provide feedback to development teams.
  • Analyze test results to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Defect Management:

  • Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.
  • Track defect resolution progress and ensure timely closure.
  • Perform retesting to verify defect fixes.

Quality Assurance Process Improvement:

  • Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Research and evaluate new testing tools and technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in software quality assurance.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.   
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding testing progress, defects, and risks.

Test Automation (if applicable):

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools.
  • Implement and maintain a test automation framework.

Performance Testing (if applicable):

  • Conduct performance testing to evaluate the performance and scalability of applications.
  • Analyze performance test results and identify performance bottlenecks.

Security Testing (if applicable):

  • Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities in applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with security teams to address security issues.
