We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: IT Support Officer
Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Reports to: IT Manager
Directs Report: None

Job Summary


  • The purpose of the role is to monitor and maintain the organization's computer systems and networks, ensuring that they run smoothly and providing technical support and advice to computer users.

Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners, operating systems and applications
  • Investigating, diagnosing, and solving computer software and hardware faults
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults;
  • Replace parts as required
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation by preparing user guides for stores
  • Support the roll-out of new applications, ERPs, etc.
  • Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues on software
  • Networking of Systems
  • Installation of Software and enrollment of System Users
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and CCTV weekly.
  • Talk staff through a series of actions, either face to face over the telephone or on team viewer
  • Responding within 1hour to call-outs
  • Work continuously on a task until completion
  • Prioritize, manage many open cases at one time and ensure cases are closed within 24 hours
  • Establish a good working relationship with software developers
  • Test and evaluate new technology/software
  • Conduct data and network security
  • Handle control over and maintenance of user accounts
  • Assist the Web administrator on e-commerce-related issues as required. Provide support to the Logistics and Inventory department as time permits.
  • Participate in stock take exercise when required
  • Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
  • All other duties as instructed by management

Qualifications

  • A good degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years of proven experience
  • Experience in the retail industry or a fast-growing company is an advantage.

  • Advanced knowledge of software and operating systems
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with staff to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
  • Highly professional and ethical with the ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good negotiation and persuasion skills
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to adapt swiftly to new software and train other staff.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
