Our service is designed to cater for both the domestic or international job seeker where the standard localized pre-employment checks fail to provide adequate feed back. From the simplest of CV checks through to full pre-employment vetting and detailed criminal record checks our screeners are experienced at gathering details from around the world.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Java Developer (Google Cloud Platform)

Job Location: Lagos

Duties

• You will play a pivotal role in the architecture, build, deployment, and maintenance of Java backends on this project.
• Our backends are built in Java EE using Spring and Hibernate frameworks on the Google Cloud Platform, with our frontend built in Angular.

What you’ll be doing

• Building backend APIs on Google Cloud Platform using Java, Spring, Hibernate and SQL
• Handing off those APIs to the front-end developers for implementation
• Working from our city centre office in Abuja
• Working in the scrum agile methodology with daily standups, sprint planning sessions and retrospectives, etc
• Helping to solve any back-end issues that may arise on production
• Working on exciting market-leading software development project
• Using Slack, Jira, Zoom and Confluence daily to communicate with teammates

Requirements
Your ideal qualities:

• Enthusiastic about the possibilities of technology and coding
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Java EE programming, Spring, Hibernate and SQL
• Enjoy coding with focus on clean code and writing tests
• Knowledge of Git, Relationship Databases, Cloud Architecture
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure
• Enthusiasm for working in a growing business culture, working independently and collaborating with a remote team
• Independent worker familiar with working in Agile Scrum methodology

Bonus Advantages:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of micro service infrastructure
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular
